Calvin Klein Controversy

What is the difference between the model on the left and the rest of the models?

The model on the left is in a Calvin Klein campaign and is considered a plus size model. To anyone she looks just as skinny as the other three models in the campaign.

Tye- Dye

Seeing that Halloween is around the corner and a Hippy/ 70s costume may be appropriate, I found that Tye- Dye is in. A fun fact is that they are currently holding some tye- dye pieces in the showroom I help in.

Op Art Mood Board

The theme of the mood board is Op Art. The vision is very blinding and a strong optical illusion effect. Which is represented in the bottom left corner. This aggressive strong optical illusion effect will be shown with the actual model wearing an op art inspired garment in front of an op art back drop at a studio. The top left picture shows a rough example of this. The model will have a strong jawline like the one in the left middle of the page a deep lip color and dark eye. Also the model will have a slick, tight top knot bun. The model will be an editorial model. Op art is mostly black and white and that is what we show on the board. A pop of color will be added in some form as shown in orange and yellow on the board. We have the random colors on the board to represent this. The board is very aggressive and will be shown in the shoot. The shape of the apparel will be random to go along with the random lines of op art to create more to the allusion.

Look1: The black and orange op art swirl dress is made by Mathew Williamson, the black shoes are Gucci and the lipstick and mascara are Nars. The strait, black and white, lines in the back drop of the studio really bring attention to the orange and black curves of the main focus, which is the dress. The makeup and shoes are dark to really bring all the attention to the op art inspired dress.

Look2: The blue and yellow op art inspired dress is designed by Dries Van Noten and the yellow heels are Rene Caovilla. The makeup including the lipstick and mascara are from Nars. This look is less busy which calls for a less busy back drop. With the bright colors, a more simple op art back drop looks better. The focal point to the entire look is directly on the dress and the yellow heels compliment the dress perfectly.

Look3: This black and white op art inspired maxi dress is designed by Marc Jacobs and the heels are Gucci. The makeup is Nars. This look is extremely busy, but it’s the point of the aggressive aspect in the shoot. The strait lines and checkered pattern stand out in front of the large wavy lines in the back drop. The dark makeup and black heels don’t take away from the op art inspired dress.

Piercings Are Fashion Too

Designer Laura and Kate Mulleavy used the grunge-inspired look and added fake eyebrow piercings covering the eyebrows of models on the runway.

That deep V-Neck is really "in" right now. On the runway at Milan Fashion Week, Emilio Pucci had some really unique designs with V-Necks.

Simply in Soho

This simple outfit is put together nice with the lose top and high waisted skinny jeans. The black and gold hand bag, along with the aviators accessorize this outfit wonderfully. Lastly the shoes almost always make an outfit.
